Out-of-school learning in the border regions
The project “Living and learning in the border regions” aims to encourage teachers and people working in education at out-of-school locations to develop tasks that promote independent thinking in pupils, while helping them to look beyond borders and see their own border region as a single entity. Altogether, four border regions are represented in the project: Germany-Netherlands, Austria-Hungary, Poland-Czech Republic and Sweden-Norway. From 26th February - 2nd March 2008 an international teachers’ course will take place in Kerkrade (Netherlands), at which the teachers will be introduced to new learning methods.
