Out-of-school learning in the border regions
The project “Living and learning in the border regions” aims to encourage teachers and people working in education at out-of-school locations to develop tasks that promote independent thinking in pupils, while helping them to look beyond borders and see their own border region as a single entity. Altogether, four border regions are represented in the project: Germany-Netherlands, Austria-Hungary, Poland-Czech Republic and Sweden-Norway. From 26th February - 2nd March 2008 an international teachers’ course will take place in Kerkrade (Netherlands), at which the teachers will be introduced to new learning methods. The project outcomes will be published in autumn 2008.
